[Request] Lenovo Ideaphone K900

51 posts in this topic

Hey,

have you planned to create a cyanogenmod for the new Lenovo IdeaPhone K900?

The half-Chinese stock android sucks a lot. :(

Best regards

Please, devs, make it happen!

I love the hardware and the feel of the device, and it would benefit greatly from a decent software platform :)

I'm now using k900, it is by far the best and solid looking phone but that does not accommodate with its stock ROM, very sluggish and laggy...Please create one, I volunteer to help if you want.

Meanwhile, till Lenovo decides release the source code for Lenovo K900, I'm trying to port CM to my K900, I hope somebody can help me, this is what I'm doing.

Firstival, I'm trying to unpack the boot.bin from the lenovo stock rom in order to get the bzImage compressed linux kernel and then repack whit my own ramdisk, I wonder if somebody can help me to find the offsets of the kernel packaged into boot.bin file, right now I have decompressed the ramdisk.cpio

I used this commands to find the offsets

# od -A d -t x1 boot.bin | grep '1f 8b 08 00'

0024640 ff e0 1f 8b 08 00 00 00 00 00 02 03 ec 7d 7d 5c

5483072 1f 8b 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 03 9c bd 0f 60 14 d5

I got the ramdisk with the offset addres 5483072

# dd if=boot.bin bs=1 skip=5483072 of=ramdisk.cpio

the cuestion is how tho get the kernel, I just can't get it?

the mkbooting utility dosn't work neither boot_split whit this kind of packagd file.

here is the files:

boot.bin ->to be decompressed

ramdisk ->the result of the partial decompression, it miss the kernel

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In other step I'm trying to identify the partitions, I can't find the recovery partition.

this is the partition table from the ROW ROM

partition_table=gpt
