neither does bluetooth, I hit the slider, they pop over to "On" the right pane says "Turning Wi-Fi on.." ten eventually the slider pops back, but the right pannel never changes and it doesn't turn on.

IIRC, that was a problem with the recovery you where using...
What recovery are you using?
EDIT: it was either recovery or kernel or both... bleh...
