I agree with others. This is a deal breaker for me. I had CM10 installed for all of 10 minutes and ripped it off because of this. I otherwise loved the huge performance improvement and clean interface of CM10 over the stock.
I simply do not trust our governments nor our new big brothers (Google, Apple, Microsoft) with my personal details and those of my associates. I am going to try the workarounds stated. I haven't done that yet. For now I'm just throwing the vote out there that this is not a minority concern.
