I've been able to totally bypass the lockscreen on my Droid 1 running CM6.1 RC3 and a P3Droid Kernel. This allows me to gain home screen access without entering my security code. Has anybody else seen this? Should I post the specifics on how I do it here or is there some other way we should report security issues? I'm not even sure if it's a security issue or whether it's intended. I scoured the forums looking for some mention of it. If I missed something then let me know please.

did you disable the screenlock?  there are a few ways to do this [notification bar has a little lock symbol or the power widget with a lock symbol].

I imagine he means that with the PIN lockscreen active he was able to bypass it and access the phone. Like using the emergency call feature to access contact and image data. What's the method you're referring to OP?

I use the draw screen for my lock screen. I'll see if I can duplicate tomorrow using a pin. Here's my method:
1. Lock my screen (again, I use the draw pattern lock screen)
2. Place my phone in my Motorola OEM car dock.
3. The phone goes into car mode.
4. Exit car mode while still in car dock
5. The phone is now unlocked.

I don't see that issue with the car dock using a PIN. My phone always requires me to put the pin in initially when I dock it.

Would you happen to have a delay set before your phone locks after the screen turns off? Mine is set to No Delay. I'm using the PIN lock and tried your method this morning - I cannot reproduce what you said happened. The prompt to enter PIN always shows up.

The only difference is I'm running the stock kernel. I don't know how they'd be related, but I've been meaning to switch to P3 anyways.

I can't find the setting right now, but I swear I saw it somewhere one time. I'll report back once I get that new kernel loaded, though.

Edit: Found it. CM Settings > User Interface > Screen Timeout Delay.
And I lied, I guess mine was set to 5 secs, but it locks instantly if the lock button is pressed.

Edit2: After loading the P3 kernel I still could not reproduce this.

I also was able to bypass the lock screen. I am using the gesture option. I don't have a pin or pattern. What I found was when I am at the locked screen and then plug in the USB cable. The screen pops to mount the drive. I don't mount it, but when I hit the back button the phone is now unlocked.

Phone is Droid 1
