I did a clean install of CM11 nightly today. I'd previously updated to CM11 from CM10.2 and started to encounter problems that I associated with not wiping fully. Everything seems fine apart from the fact that I have no option to change the launcher and no option of the Google home launcher (with Google Now to the left of home screen). I re-installed 4.4 Gapps (I got it from PA) but still no joy. Any ideas where it's gone?

Which launcher are you trying to use?

You can go to settings/home and change the launcher from that option as it lists all installed launchers for you :)

Could you be more specific where I can find the launcher settings, please? I can't find the settings/home thing you mentioned.

Thx
Ephraim

In "Settigns > Home" you should have two options: Launcher3 and Launcher.
I believe Launcher is the stock Android with the Google Now on the left while Laucher3 is the CM custom one.

The Launcher Option only appears if you have installed more than one launcher and you have to activate Google now to use the Google now feature on the homescreen. My cm nightly doesn't include the launcher3, only the stock nexus 5 launcher

Im on 16 coming from 09 and for whatever reason Launcher3 was replaced with GEL. Im wondering where the hell that apk was, i couldn't find it anywhere in the build zip and my gapps zip was stripped clean of the home apks so what the hell. I didn't want the google integration i wanted my AOSP clean launcher.

I have both launchers (Launcher and Launcher3) but I can not change the settings of them. Extra screens, only if I had so many apps that it will make an new screen by itself. Cannot change font and colours of text, etc.
I installed KK Launcher, it was a really nice one but froze all the time. Anybody an idea?
