I'm flashing stuff on this phone every day. (recovering from a soft brick isn't a big deal. so long as i can get to download mode i'm good)
Someone just released a new recovery and another person a kernel yesterday that allows for converting the FS to ext2 and ext4. Doing these conversions has been the biggest performance increase i've seen on the phone to day.

If anyone can port this for me and other Intercept users that would be fantastic I don't know how I could thank you but I am sure I can find a way, either that or show me how to Port a version myself, that would be equally awesome.
Thank you for your time,
WAEPONX.

Cyanogenmod ROM is really needed for Samsung Intercept! We would be really grateful if some Cyanogenmod guru creates a version for Samsung Intercept. Most of us can donate too. We are getting 2.2 Froyo starting 4/11/2011 from Virgin Mobile USA. However, Cyanogenmod is the best ROM out there. There must be at least a million Samsung Intercept users that could use this port. Whoever starts ROM development for Intercept will attain mega star status in Samsung Intercept community.

Source published, if that is any consolation (for 2.1).
A hell of a Deal, especially if 2.2 works well, but I would rather run Cyanogen as I have on my (my son's) Droid with FULL 180 degree rotation. 800MHz should be perfect since that is WAY faster than the Droid, AND FULL QWERTY+NUMBERS for Citrix client, and such!
Customization is the best part about CyanogenMod. These guys are Ninjas!
PLEASE!

Would like to get out of my T-Mobile contract since I'm in a 2G only area, so my myTouch 4G is not doing me any good.
Have been looking into Virgin, Boost, Straight Talk, etc with their much cheaper 3G plans (which includes my area). Would like to find an Android phone such as the Intercept or Prevail, but not sure I want it if not supported by CM. So, .... please add Samsung Intercept to CM7.

1. Is there a decent (fairly stable) port of CM6-7 for the Samsung Intercept?
2. If yes, do I need to be rooted, or will it root for me?
3. If not, what is the best method for somebody who has not rooted before and can't afford to brick their phone?
I hope that somebody will be able to help me. Thanks.
