So I was looking for new ways of breaking my phone, and realized I could upgrade the radio to do so =P

I am also seeing that high version radio like 6.x will not run on CM5? only cursorsense?

I tried looking for more info on what radio images do and what their limitations/functions etc are but didn't really find anything comprehensive.

any additional info/links are welcome, but essentialy I'm wondering

- What's the latest radio I can run on CM5
- Whether the same apply to SPLs

Thanks!

for Magics and Dreams there are two classes of radio

EBI0: 1.x(Dream only) and 2.x

EBI1: 3.x

within those two classes, CM5 can run on any minor version numbers (unless there's big changes that need software updates, see froyo radio/stuff on N1). EBI0 users can flash CM straight, EBI1 users need bcrook's kernel in addition.

6.x radios are from Heroes, but can be put on 32A magics (normally EBI1). There is work in progress to get a port for CM to run on these.

4.x radios are for N1 and N1 only (AFAIK).

As of right now, there are only two EBI0 2.x radios: 2.22.19.26i and 2.22.23.02. I don't know how many 3.x radios there are but so far all work with bcrook's kernel. Should a newer of either come out, they will have to be evaluated for what software changes may be needed, if any.

SPL should match radio and phone model, but as far as I know all will work with CM.
