When I make an outgoing call or answer an incoming call on my G1 (CM5.0.7) a small bit of text briefly pops up in the bottom middle of the screen. It says Monitor 0. Does any one know where this came from?

OK, so I haven't been able to reproduce this exact issue but I did find the 0. Its definitely a bug. I found it in the battery usage stats under network usage. When clicking on it it fcs every time. Ill post a logcat tomorrow when I'm on my PC.

I will check the logcat tonight when I get home. It started before I upgraded to 5.0.7. I upgraded my radio, spl, and recovery image as well as did a data wipe before upgrading. I was hoping it would go away after the wipe and upgrade, but no dice. I was using apps2sd before the upgrade, and I kept my ext4 partion and apps stayed, so I wonder if its something an app has done...

I have no idea about the "Monitor 0" thing in the OP.

But I can explain the battery useage stuff:

In android, all apps have their own UID, (see fix_permissions on the wiki); so when the battery stats sorts the list by app, it's really sorting by UID. UID 0 is root. When you click it, it tries to look up the (shared) UID information for this UID and FCs because there isn't any app associated with the ID.

I fixed the bug in cm 4.2 but apparently it didn't make it to 5.
