Unable To Install The Cm-10.0.0-Galaxysmtd.zip Through Recovery
Posted 20 April 2013 - 05:31 PM
i'm trying to install Cyanogenmod 10 (cm-10.0.0-galaxysmtd.zip) on my Galaxy S i9000. I go into recovery wipe data/recovery and cache partition.
Then i Select install zip from sdcard, Select choose zip from sdcard.
Then it says on the screen:
-- Installing: /sdcard/zRoms/cm-10-0-0-galaxysmtd.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
E:Can't open /sdcard/zRoms/cm-10-0-0-galaxysmtd.zip
What am I doing wrong????
I flashed and rooted hundred of times, on several different devices and never came across that Error-Message.
Thanks for the held, I appreciate it.

But what I dont' get is, why the mod is running so awfully slow. Even when no apps are running in the background. Some things crash, others just open barely or very very slow.
Any tips or tricks?
I have 35 apps installed, and nothing else special.

Do you speak German, English is perfectly fine for me, but I saw that you moved from Germany to the US :-)

And no, I don't speak German. I tried to learn German while I was there, but whenever I would try my German, people would respond back to me in English. After about 2 years of this crap, I gave up trying to learn it. Probably didn't help that I lived near Kaiserslautern, so with such a large American population, most local Germanys probably just thought was easier to speak English.

Anything else that I should worry about before reinstalling the rom?
And thanks, again!

As for 10.1, it has been running extremely smooth on my phone, and since you are having problems with the "stable" anyway, why not try a newer version? The M3 is more tested than nightlies, so that may be a better choice.
