First download LGextract:Download
Extract it.Put you kdz file with extracted contentes.now open command prompt there and execute: lgextract -kdz xxx.kdz
It will create xxx.cab file there.
Use winrar or 7zip to extract it.
Now there will be folder named xxx containing two files namely : DZ_LGE730AT-00-V10x-xxx-XX-OCT-12-2012+0.dz and QCT_E730_20120928.dll.
Now download dzdecrypter : Download
Extract it and put your extracted files into xxx folder.
Again open command prompt and execute:dzdecrypt -x DZ_LGE730AT-00-V10x-xxx-XX-OCT-12-2012+0.dzive you
That will give you many files including recovery.img,boot.img,system.img.ext4 and some mbn files.
Now you can use ext2explore to extract content of system.img.ext4 which will have our /system folder.

This tool should help:

http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1692191

I used that to extract the .dz for developing my stock roms.
Second step is to use the dzdecrypter as nomanman said.

bin?
It performs a .dz file ,the .dz file is extracted by dzdecryter.
Just tested it for ensure right now.

The last tool you could use is this : http://www.wuala.com...ractor KDZ.rar/
is on my wuala. The tool is written in spanish. you have to input a .kdz and returns  a .cab that can be extracted with winrar. Inside the cab is the .dz file.
It works too ,but i can grant the rom converter works perfectly extracting the dz
.

Edit:

It's posible that your device don't support that method.
i've found that method for myself based on the optimus black way
maybe you need to look for a way to extract that .wdb file
some LGutils could do. I'm not sure but,i think the last utility i've posted extracts the wdb.

if it doesn't work i think we can't help you.
Please read the p970-rom-converter thread for more info:
