Spirt Radio (And, I'd hope the free version at that), IS NOT the answer that I'm personaly looking for.

And what is the answer that you are personally looking for?  There is no FM radio in CM10 and only one that I know of available on Google Play which comes with the small risk of blowing out your speakers on the phone.

Yes my concern too, though the percentage of people blowing their speakers seems quite small.

Semaphore kernel has a setting (via Semaphore Manager) to enable FM radio, but it doesn't seem the above successful users needed it?

Best way that I know of is you install Spirit FM radio and hope you're not one of the ones who have speaker issues, or better yet that the dev has gotten that resolved.  There's all kinds of information here on it. http://forum.xda-dev....php?p=13380058
