How do I switch from my current rom (Void Forever - old baseband) to Cyanogenmod 7 Stable?

Is there a ROM set up link for LG p500/509 to switch from Cyanogenmod 7 Stable to 4.0 gingerbread? And is it good for those types of phones or should I just stick with 7 sense it is a good ROM? Oh, also how do I update or change the kernel for 7 to kick it into gear?
