Hello I recently downloaded cyanogenmod 9 the latest release 8/18/2012. I have everything working pretty well, but I downloaded a file off the net and tried to transfer it to my hp touchpad. I have mtp turned on. I've tried to put the file on the device root. I've put the file in almost every folder and its not showing up in my file manager. I'm using rom manager. I've even made a new folder in the device. The folder shows up but the file is not there. I dont know what to do short of going to the website and downloading it on my hp, but I dont want to do that. Any help would be much apprieciated. Thanks!!

Hi!
I know it might not help you solving your problem about file transfer in MTP mode to your HP Touchpad, but have you considered -- if this option is available -- turning MTP mode off and activating the mass storage mode?
- Take a look at System settings > Storage;
- Press the menu button and select USB computer connection;
- In the Connect as list, select Mass storage, if this option is available. If it is not, then your device probably don't support other types of USB connection.
Your device should then connect as a mass storage device. See if you have trouble thansfering your file in MSC mode.

If you're touch pad has both an internal sdcard and an external sdcard, then you need to use a file explorer that can read both. My guess is that you transferred the apk to one and are trying to find it on the other.
