Galaxy Nexus S - rooted using Cyanogenmod wiki. Running CM7.10 originally.
Started after rooting from Google? update to ICS. Phone is rooted, have Superuser, etc.
Wanted to update to CM7.2. Tried through ROM manager - it updated, but no wifi. Simply would not take the password or set up new. Said validating, then disconnecting.
Figured I'd try CM9 (the one marked stable in ROM manager. That downloaded, installed, everything ran just fine. Can't run programs installed on the ext st card. Phone doesn't see the card at all.
Retry installing CM7.2 by using sd card. That installed, and wifi is working.
Tried to install CM9 the same way - install from card, it goes so far and aborts with the 7 error. Also can't see card - yet it had to see the usb sd card to even start the installation! If you boot into recovery mode, even while in Cm7.2, it still says card connected to pc.
I'd really like an explanation and possibly a fix. Why does the usb ext. drive work in 7.2 and not in 9? Even though recovery says card connected to pc in 7.2 - I can access all the apps?
Thanks
