First let me start by saying that I have used CM 7.1, CM 7.2, CM9 RC1, and currently am on CM9 RC2 and I have thoroghly enjoyed all of them and am happy to be even a small part of making the experience better, even if just through usage and error stats. This shit is fun!

HOWEVER.

I have one major complaint, (and before you go off about how its free software and I should be grateful I can even use this, let me say that I am thankful for it, but I am allowed to express my opinion!)

My complaint? CyanAlarm being the default alarm.

As much as I may try to be objective about these matters and that just because I don't like something doesn't mean it isn't good, having the default alarm set as LAYERED MALE VOICES SCREAMING is just plan sadistic!

I'm sure there's a developer with a sick sense of humour (which generally speaking i'm cool with) and a taste for schadenfreude but please change it. Please.

I'm aware I can change it myself, but I flashed RC2 yesterday and forgot to change the alarm ringtone. After a night of drinking and dancing, this is NOT the sound to wake up to!

EVIL!

Hahahaha!

I was on vacations with friends last week, and we needed to get up early to catch a train. So I set up an alarm to 5 AM on my cyanogenised phone. I did not wake up because of the alarm: I was awaken by my friend beating me with his pillow because he almost got an heart attack after Cyanalarm rang.

I think its fair then to assert that this alarm ringtone as a default is not only a health risk, but a threat to public safety.

Seriously though. Change it.

Please.

Well it makes you get up really fast in the morning, so I guess it does the job quite well. :P

I prefer to wake up without a spike in heart rate and fierce anger. Call me crazy.

Yep, it's pretty bad, but it does work. I used to use Nobelium but that was just too gentle.
