Anyone else running into this? It takes forever to charge the touchpad on USB. If I am using it, it literally just remains stagnant. Almost like the ammount that I am using it is equal to the force of the charge. It has been charging for about 6 hours today and only went up about 20%.
Is this a common issue? Is there a simple fix?
Also, anyone know a quick fix to this simple problem...Dolphin HD can stream flash videos, however the touchpad will go to sleep shortly after they start streaming. Any work around for this?

What do you mean charging on usb? Do you have it plugged into your computer instead of the wall charger that came with your TouchPad? The wall charger is rated at two amps. A usb port on a computer is rated at .5 amps. So if that is what you are doing, that is why it is not charging up quickly. And if you are putting some heavy use on it while plugged into the computer, it may not charge at all.

I wouldn't mind it going to sleep when I am not using it tho to conserve battery. I suppose I could grab an app on the play store to set Dolphin HD to always stay awake.
Everything else would be unaffected.
But, i will have to use the wallcharger more often I suppose. Although last night it was charged all night with the wall charger and for some reason had ~60 percent battery on wakeup. Apparently my wife forgot to close her browser.

Be careful, TouchPads can sometimes be a pain to get charging again if you let them go to zero. It is also not good for Lithium ion batteries to constantly deep discharge them.

Duly noted.
Would it be beneficial to get a full charge, let it run nearly dry (say ~10%) then give it a nice full charge before usage?

That isn't necessary. It's a Lithium ion battery. If you have been letting it run down that low all the time, you may have already damaged it to the point that it is failing.

No, the battery itself works fine. I just was having issues charging via usb. Charging through the wall charger seems to be working fine.

I've had a similar issue with the charging overnight not taking. Check to make sure you're getting a good connection with the cable. Mine is starting to wear out, it seems. So unless I specifically verify that it says "charging" on the screen when I put it away to charge, sometimes the cord will not be inserted all the way, or at least not making contact, and obviously then it doesn't charge. I haven't investigated yet to see if changing the cable fixes it, but I suspect it's the port itself.
As for charging while hooked up to USB, that's always been very unreliable. it doesn't supply enough amperage. In WebOS mode (Haven't used it in a while? I know, right?), it actually won't charge when hooked up to USB, and it tells you that it's connected as a storage device only, and isn't charging.

The Touchpad requires 2volts to charge properly and no computer outputs that to charge the same as the adapter. Tablets were never meant to be charged by another computer.
