I recently got a T Mobile Samsung Galaxay S II. I was told its slightly different from the other Galaxy S IIs. I would prefer a copy of Cyanogenmod 9, nightly or RC. But i am not sure what i should download. If there isnt a Cyanogenmod 9 available then what about 7? Also I am not sure if this phone is already rooted or not, i got it used from a friend. If its not rooted how can i root it?

The Galaxy SII Toolkit can root that phone easily. Here's a link to the thread for your device.
