The Greatest App Store Ever Build.
No fixed prices, everything in "pay what you want" spirit, including zero.
Programs compiled straight from github or other source hosting sites.
Games without advertisement and unnecessary permissions.
By community for community, because we care.
It should work like this :]
When you click "install application" button in Cyanverse you are presented with message:
"I'd like to dedictate $ of my money for this project. Thank You."
Below that there is table with some percentage, for example:
50% to app maker
30% to cyanogenmod
20% to charity
You can set default values in settings and manage them on purchase basis. Two arrows, small one with unhappy face for - and bigger one with happy face for +.
After accepting you are presented with nice smiley and note "Oh no, Thank You!".
If you payed more than 0 you are redirected to the payment processor of your choice, you can set default option in settings (or set one when you start Cyanverse app first time).
This idea is very HumbleBundle-ish, and that's a good thing.
When you look at your installed apps tab you can see what you paid for, there is another little smiling face next to it. But if you choosed zero there is ugly 0 icon.
OK, but what if you are a really cyanhearted person and you want to dedictate money, let's say 5$, every month?
Every month Cyanverse will remind you to eat vegetables and get 5$ lighter. It's healthy not only for you but for hole community :]
Guess what, you won't see big fat 0 icon never again.
To encourage you even more whenever you start Cyanverse there is a splash screen with year and 12 fields representing each month. If you remembered to donate it will be marked. There is special highlight for ever 3 in a row and a full year.
Some special themes for cyanhearted you say? Why not?!
To Cyanogenmod Team.
You can grab peaople who wrote F-Droid app. Make them work with you. Kidnap them if you have to. I'm serious.
I have registered cyanverse.com domain and I'll trasfer it to you if you want to use that name (free of charge ofcourse).
To be honest I'm asking you to do great app store from very selfish reasons. I just want one. So
