"no Service" Problem

I've got a lg P500 and eversince I installed an update of the CM7, my phone keep telling me that there is "No Service" while my sim card is inserted. I red some forums and they keep telling me that I have to revert to the stock software V20G, but we all know that, that software is slow and boring. I really want to use CM7 and i cant because of this no service problem. I've someone got a great solution I would really appreciate it.
