So, i have SGS II, and my os is android ICS.
My question is:

Should i get CM7.(x) or CM9.(x) ?
Does my android version have an affect on the CM version i should get?
What CM version might be the most stable...?

What is the difference of CM7 and CM9?
I saw some videos of these mods and they look very nice, smooth and clean. and I definetly want to install CM.
I already have changed my UI with some Launcher apps from the market, but i am power hungry, and CM seems to have more
options to mess with.

i am sorry to ask these kind of questions but i am new to any kind of modding.

Thank you!

CM7 is the current "stable" release. CM9 is still in an experimental stage, although, many people are using it as their primary OS on their phones without issue. CM7 is based on Gingerbread, and CM9 is based off Ice Cream Sandwich, so those are gonna be your major differences. CM9 doesn't seem to offer the level of customization as CM7 does, but most likely this will be added in future versions (CM7 was the same way when it came out vs CM6).

As far as I know, you can install CM7 on your device, even though it is running ICS, although, you may lose out on some ICS-based functionality that you may be used to that was never present in Gingerbread (can't think of anything off the top of my head, but it is possible).
