Hi Guys,
it is possible to create a script or "program" that runs the smartphone or TAB only with GSM while no app is on top that use the internetconnection?

If it is possible the battery life extent extremly.

What "I" what is an app that runs my Galaxy S I900 only with GPRS if there is no app in the foreground that needs an connection.
(Background Apps use the GPRS-Net to refresh their services like Messages on WhatsApp/Facebook and co.)

with best regards
Deadly23

P.S:
Thank you so much for the CM9 for my SGS :-* :D
I LOVE IT SINCE CM9 and Android 4.0.4

I am not understanding what you need. You want to have a mobile signal, but only when there are no apps running?

(NO FOREGROUND APP -> GPRS; FACEBOOK or Co. in the Foreground -> HSDPA/HSDUPA)

Ah, ok, that explains it. Currently there is no way to do this. Whenever you disable 3G (or HSDPA/HSDUPA), the phone has to cycle the connection to connect to an EDGE network (or just GPRS if it is available, but most providers only provide EDGE/2G or better nowadays). I am not sure why this is done and what can be done to avoid it, but if someone were to come up with an app, it would likely take 15-30 seconds to drop your 2G and then get connected to a 3G or better network when an app comes in the foreground, and until it connected, you would not have any data available.
