After installing the stable mod, my phone reboots by itself even if you are just locking it or just putting it on standby. and when it reboots, the phone gets no signal at all.
It also force closes the launcher.

How did you install it? What were you running prior to installing it? Did you perform and wipes when installing, and if so, which ones?

i used clockworkmod for installing it, yes i performed wipes when i intalled it, i wiped the dalvik cache only, do i need to wiped the "data/cache" also? if so, does that mean that my g-apps. are also uninstalled.

I would format your /system partition first (in recovery, under the Mounts and Storage menu), and then reinstall CM and gapps. This leaves all your data, apps, and settings intact.
If this doesn't fix the issue, you may have to resort to performing a Factory Reset/Data Wipe.
You also did not mention what you were running before. If you weren't running CM7, it is required for you to do a Factory Reset/Data Wipe.

I'm having the same problem.
I will try to disable the lockscreen and see if the problem stops.

Have you tried to increase the VM Heap Size? (Settings->CyanogenMod->Performance->(the last option, I have it in Spanish and says "TamaƱo de Pila de MV").
Try to select 32m and test it again.
This solved my problems.
