I just updated my P999 (Videotron)  from 7.1.0.1 stable to 7.2 stable and lost my call audio.
Wiped only the Dalvik cache through ROMManager
All other audio works fine
Reverted back with nandroid backup

Something I did?
Does anyone have any suggestions?

i think i just had the same problem....I thought it was the network but i could make and receive calls. It makes sense that it could be the audio. When you receive a call or make a call does the phone put itself on hold automatically? Another thing is that I couldn't get 4G to work, only the WiFi worked. Is it the same for you

To resolve this I had to go back to version 7.1....and everything is working fine....

I don't see any differences between 7.1 and 7.2 so i'll stick with 7.1

Everything is working, 4G, wifi Bluetooth, all sounds with the exception of in-call.
I cannot hear and the other end cannot hear me.

It is possible that a wipe of the phone and a clean install of 7.2 would work but, I don't want the hassle of reinstalling my environment
I'll keep 7.1 and maybe try a later version of 7.2
But, I will probably wait for CM9

Was this a question or a suggestion ?
I have an updated baseband.

The phone places and receives calls, there is simply no audio bridge.
Not sure this is a BB issue

I had the same issue when updated to v7.2 RC and after reading several threads on this issue that indicated BB version need to be dated to MAR 11 2012.  After updated to this version it fixed the audio issue.

Unfortunately, the Mar 2012 BB seems unavailable to Canadian Videotron P999 owners
The only update available is stock Froyo 2.2.2 to fix a TXT message issue
It still uses the old BB

If there are any Videotron users that have managed to update their BB above the stock [May 18 2011], I would appreciate knowing how

Baseband has been updated from May 18  to Oct 24 2011 (the only choice I had with Videotron in Canada)
A clean install of a stable 7.2 was installed, (all data/cache cleared)
Still no call audio/microphone
Tried "cm-7-20120624-NIGHTLY-p999" as well with no sucess

Anybody else having a similar issue?

Ok m not a videotron but a Windmobile user. they too had it stuck for froyo July 15 or Jun 15 baseband ... i dun remember... point is I successfully updated to March 2012 baseband by flashing stock v21y using kdz method. and then restored my cyanogen 7.2 .... audio call worked perfectly

I am on the Videotron Oct 24 2011 baseband and have solved this issue as follows
Ran CWM, boot to recovery
Flashed CM nightly 20120701
Immediately flashed "for_old_bb.zip"
Rebooted and everythings seems to work
see this thread for "for_old_bb.zip"

I was going to mention that fix as well. There is a script in the CM roms since June(ish) that looks at the baseband version and automatically installs the older files if it detects a June (Wind) or July (T-Mobile) 2011 baseband, but that wouldn't help the Videotron handsets.

I have recently applied this solution. If I update, to the latest nightly build, would I need to re-install the fix for_old_bb.zip?

I hit few issue recently with common apps like facebook, even the browser, I even think I miss few call I redirect to my device. So before reporting it I was wanting to test the latest version to see if I could reproduce the issues.

Thanks for the solution!

I haven't found the need buy, keep the new_bb.zip on your SDcard.
It can be reflashed anytime and repeatedly.
