Good morning!
Two days ago, there was an announcement on the X10 Stable Mod forum that the new CM7.2 was available. However, the X10 does not appear in the list of devices on the download page.
Is there really a new version available for the X10 or was the post made blindly throughout the forums?

It isn't a "blind" post. It is a forum-wide announcement. It is shown on every forum.
The latest official nightly release for your device is Nightly #9 from back in November. But it seems development has been ongoing through the FreeXperia team and they have their work on xda.
