Download and apply Darkside Superwide via Clockword Recovery. It will perform a deep wipe . Then apply this ROM. All should work fine.

ternt41 it worked, thank you.

FYI: so after the update completed i tunr off my phone to reboot in to recovery to install gapps and my phone never came back up,
I thought may be the battery went dead so i wne to the TMO stre to try another one since my phone was not charging the battery and the sme thinkg, so it looks like my phone got bricked.
Is htere any thing i can do to bring it alive or i am done wiht this phone?

Visit the teamchopsticks dot org website.  It has the details on correctly installing and all the downloads.

My phone wouldn't turn on the other day after charging all night. I just took out the battery and let it sit without power for a min or so. Then I put the battery back in and it powered up normally after that. Might be worth a shot since the Skyrocket and Hercules are identical except for the LTE radio.

Everytime I go to flash a new nightly build, I get stuck on the logo too. I end up having to do a full wipe before flashing the new build.

You guys are wiping the cache and dalvik cache before flashing a new nightly right?

I wasn't implying that you were a newb, just wanted to make sure you had tried everything before trying to get a new phone.
Anyways it seems like you guys got it covered over here. Good luck

ddamian67-

There are helpful posts over at XDA forums that specifically address "unbricking" this phone.

However, before going over there, try this:

1. Remove the battery.
2. Insert the battery.
3. Simultaneously hold down the VOLUME UP, VOLUME DOWN, and the POWER buttons.
4. After the first vibration while still holding down the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons, release the power button.
5 If you feel the vibration, you should be able to bring up Recovery.  From there  you can repeat the SuperWipe, Flash the ROM, and Flash Google Apps all during the same session.
6. If you do NOT feel the vibration when holding down the buttons, your device may very well be dead.

Good Luck!

So turns out using dark sides cache only wipe fixed the problem for me. I guess there's some problem with wiping the cache and dalvik cache through non touch cwm.

Also look up how to go into Download Mode. If you can do that you aren't bricked.

Samsung will fix it for you I bricked mine using ODIN with ice cream sandwich leaks. I don't know how you managed to brick using recovery though. I'd seriously check everything have you tried download mode? Have you taken sdcard out and tried to boot?

they test it and could not bring it to live so they sent an order to replace it and i got it today.

...i will seat on it for few days before i get hbrave anought to flash the CM9 NIGHTY.

Darkside also makes a cache wipe that works great in conjunction with the super wipe.  if you are having issues.

Was stuck at the cm9 boot screen. I restored to previous backup then downloaded super swipe, put it on the ext SD card along with google app zip. Rebooted into CWM and swiped then installed CM9 with gapps ics 20120429 signed zip afterwards. Everything seems to be working fine. CM9 looks BAD A!! Thanks a bunch.
