It's relatively easy to disable data roaming on an Android device in the "Wireless & networks" settings section, but the phone still tries to connect to other services via roaming like voice and SMS. Is there a way to disable ALL roaming whatsoever? I know about airplane mode, but that completely disables all connectivity, and it's also annoying to have to remember to keep turning airplane mode off and on again when I enter/leave the vicinity of this network. I'd like to be able to connect to my network but not allow any roaming. In other words, the top icon in this list should never appear in the status bar:
h t t p : / / w w w . m a t t s b i t s . c o . u k / u s e r _ m e d i a / a n d r o i d / a n d r o i d _ i c o n s 3 . j p g
(URL obfuscated beause of this forum's frankly idiotic ban on posting links)
Why disable? Becuase the network offering the roaming isn't one I trust, as I think it may be intercepting and recording my data. So I don't want my phone to use it.
If there's no way to do this, how easy would it be to be introduced in a future version of Cyanogenmod?

It isn't currently possible to do, and to be honest, I have no idea how difficult it would be to do. You might be able to just change your network selection to manual which would then only connect to the one you specify... I think. But i have never tried it that way (I travel to other countries frequently and never felt a need to prevent my phone from connecting to other networks... I just keep data disabled unless I need it for something important).

If you select Manual, I believe it will only access a network that you select. Be it roaming or not.
