Anyone tried the nightlies? What's the feedback?
I'm itching to try it, but I'm somewhat scared of going through all that just to have a phone without a working camera or something.

Loaded nightly 20120617 yesterday.  Never looking back. :)

Camera/video works fine, both front and back.
GPS and compass are accurate and working smoothly.
WiFi and Bluetooth working fine.
Can't test LTE but 3G/HSPA working fine.

There IS an installation bug however.  The cwm recovery for skyrocket won't load a cm9 for skyrocket.  cwm has ro.product.device set to SGH-I727 but the cm9 install script looks for SGHI727 (without the dash) so the install fails with an assert error.  You can get around this by installing the cwm recovery for hercules, then installing cm9-skyrocket.

That's strange, I didn't have a problem flashing with touch cwm recovery. CM been running great on my phone, no major problems that I've come across. There's no LTE around here so I can't test that either but everything seems to be working good.

I can confirm this as well.  I flashed my skyrocket yesterday and with the current CWM touch it continuously failed.  I ended up using the modified touch CWM from http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1472954 and it worked great.

I also had a problem using CWM 5.0.2.7. Changing to CWM Touch for the T-Mobile S2 cleared that problem up lickety-split.

I did notice one small error. When trying to take a picture from inside messaging, I got a "failed to connect to camera" warning. A second attempt immediately after dismissing the error resulted in no problems.

Fixed in nightly 20120618.  cwm 5.8.4.3-skyrocket will now flash cm9-skyrocket.

I'm having issues with my external SD card not reading, and multitasking is a bit buggy. Still great for the first nightly build!

Yup, pretty good for experimental. Only issue I'm seeing is the touch screen freezing up randomly. I believe this was mentioned a couple times with the unofficial alphas. It’s happened at various times, during a call, on the lock screen, playing music etc. Power button, volume and soft keys continue to function but the screen will not respond at all. Requires a battery pull. Tried setting the screen sensitivity to 100 as was mentioned over on XDA but the issue persists.

Edit: After reading further on XDA sounds like an easy fix of "palming" the screen or touching it with 5 fingers at once resets the screen sensor and resloves the issue. Haven't had a chance to try this yet....

So far so good here on the nightly builds.  No issues so far.

I'm guessing these nightlies are based on the team chopsticks unofficial port of CM9 from the alpha 5 release.  Can anyone conferm this?

Thanks again CM and possibly team chopsticks for all of your hard work!

So it (-619 build) never got past the bootup screen for me. I'm going to try to see if I can flash the -618 build.

roflgoat, what CWM are you using? I had this problem using 5.0.2.7 but 5.8.1.3 worked fine. http://forum.xda-dev...ht=clockworkmod

I thought I was using the latest, but I'll try again -- I might've accidentally used the wrong file. Thank you!

Anyone else showing the CPU underclocked in performance settings at 1242? Tried various combination settings but can't get it to indicate 1512. On nightly 6/19.

I installed the 6-19 nightly yesterday but I got stuck in a boot loop.  I had a completely stock phone before installing, so I first installed CWM via odin which passed, and I tried to wipe data but got an error saying /sdcard/.android-secure could not be mounted but it finishes anyways.  wiped cache, then installed cyanogen nightly 6-19 , reboot but gets stuck in a boot loop.  I had to flash back to k0nane's stock 2.3.5 so my phone is usable but next time any pointers on avoiding this? I've read maybe reformatting /system would help? I'm going to try and install 6-20 nightly tonight

edit: if it helps diagnose, I installed CWM 5.0.2.7 - the one listed in cyanogen wiki's install page.  I also tried CWM touch 5.8.1.3 but same result. my skyrocket is not rooted but I will probably root it tonight before I try CM9 again

edit2: rooted using superoneclick, and installed cm9 20nightly using cwm 5.0.2.7 but still stuck in a boot loop, sometimes i will see the cyanogen mod logo pop up for a second but then it will restart.....help :(

edit3: installed CWM touch recovery 5.8.1.3 through odin and installed 20nightly and IT WORKS!

Yeah I screwed up my backup and had to get the phone factory reset. Here's hoping the -20 build works fine for me.

EDIT: Straight from factory reset, with ODIN and CWM touch 5.8.1.3 (hercules) and the -20 build, it gets stuck in a boot loop. Christ.
EDIT EDIT: Did the same with -18 and -19. What should I do?

Sike! Forgot to both wipe data and cache. Works like a charm.

Works great, I've not run across any issues just yet, but I haven't finished flogging the hell out of this ROM yet ;-)

Been using for the last 12 hours. Works like a charm. Thank you guys...
I have been using stock AT&T 2.3.6 till now.
The only issue I faced was regarding CWM. Initially, I had 5.0.2.6. Once I applied CM9, it went to a reboot loop as mrbopalop1 pointed out above. Installed CWM 5.8.1.3 and everything worked fine.
Thanks once again...

Have you tried doing the touch reset by pressing all 5 fingers on the screen? It won't signal anything but if it worked, then you should be able to use the touch screen again.
