Router: Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH2 w/DD-WRT v24SP2-MULTI (04/27/12) std build 19152
Phone: myTouch 3G Slide w/Cyanogenmod 7.2 stable

Hello! I've been having an issue for a while that I was hoping someone might have some ideas on. Using the equipment above, I simply cannot connect to any Wifi that's protected with WPA or WPA2. Unsecured works great and WEP works great. I've tried straight WPA, WPA2 and Mixed. With each of those, I've tried AES, TKIP and both. The phone never gets past the Authenticating stage and then after 2-3 attempts, it just marks the network as disabled. This has happened with Cyanogenmod 7.1 as well, I was hoping 7.2 would fix it. I've also been through several firmware updates with the router.

I've read online that some people were having trouble with DD-WRT's "Ack Timing" setting and that changing it to 0 helped but it did not help me. I've changed the Wireless Network Mode on the router between "Mixed", "G Only" and "NG-Mixed". I've also changed the Channel Width between 20hz and 40hz with no luck. I've also tested this on my fiance's phone, she has the same problem. I have also tried with the same model router at my work and both phones have the same problem there as well. At this point, I'm stumped. I have taken a look at logcat to see if I could figure out what the problem is but after looking at it, I'm still not sure. I'm attaching some screenshots, a long with the logcat in case it helps.

Ok... hopefully this helps someone out there. Here are some things I've noted:

-WPA2 doesn't work at all, any mode.
-WPA works (Like sh**), as long as the following conditions are met:
1. Channel Width cannot be set to 40MHz or Dynamic
2. ACK Timing must be set to 0
3. You cannot have "$" in your Wireless Password. I was able to use "!" successfully but I'm guessing there are more special characters that will cause a problem.

I did not try WPA/TKIP, I just tried AES. I'm done troubleshooting it. It's obvious the Wifi in Cyanogenmod needs major work. I'm not sure if it's just the espresso ROMs or what. Anywho, good luck.

I would actually create a bug report as developers don't frequent the forum (they are busy coding and believe me,  it takes a LONG time to go through the forum every day). They may not even realize this is an issue. So post your logcat and images there and maybe they can get the problem resolved. I don't have any issues connecting my N1 to my ddwrt-based router (Linksys WRT54GL).

Submitted. I can't post links. So, if anyone's interested in following it, look for issue 5404.
