Hello, I'm new here to this and to the flashing stuff and rest.

I wanted to do some change to my buzz so I just flashed my 2.2.1 to 2.3.7 (CyanogenMod-7.1.0.1).

Everything was fine, flashed Gapps also.

The only thing is my wi-fi isn't working.

It can't even connect. It's like refreshing by 3 secs and doing that in a circle.

Link to video: youtube watch?v=iFqWoqaX0fU

/// What I Did:

- Reflashed CyanogenMod twice.
- Reflashed my radio (the newest version anyway).
- Flashed 19.25 radio with CWM 2.5.0.7 still nothing.

/// Specs:

- Android 2.3.7
- CyanogenMod-7.1.0.1
- Radio 3.35.19.25
- HBOOt 6.01.1002
- S-OFF

Did everything today and WiFi was working in the morning perfectly (on 2.2.1)

If you know a solution write it down step by step, im new to this.

Did you perform a Factory Reset/Data Wipe when you installed CM? It is required when coming from stock.

I've just been just looking for settings and I just found this in DevTools: i48(dot)tinypic(dot)com(slash)5c0ndj(dot)png Maybe this causes my problem?

tinypic is blocked at my work, so I can't see what you are talking about it.

But one other suggestion is that maybe part of your installation became corrupted. It is really easy to fix. Just format the /system partition from recovery (in the Mounts and Storage menu) and then reinstall CM and gapps. This won't cause any data loss.

Also, did you restore anything after you installed CM? If so, how did you do it?

Ok, So What I Did:

1. formated /system
2. installed zip frm sdcard: CM and Gapps ( Do I need to wipe data/factory and cache too?, I didn't do that)
3. Still not working.

And no I didn't restore anything. Dont even know what youre talking about.

As long as you haven't messed with any settings, the defaults should work fine. I would suggest getting a logcat of your issue and posting it on the bug tracker. Have you tried any other 3rd-party ROMs to see if they have the same issue?

I didn't messed with any settings though. What is a logcat?

And no I haven't tried other ROMs as I said I'm new to this so this is my first one flashing the phone ever.

I've changed the Regulatory Domain (Settings -> Wireless & Network ->Wi-Fi setting -> Advancend (via Menu button) to "14 channels" and Wi-Fi sleep policy to "Never".
Hope this help.

Thank you to Cyanogem Team for they hard work... You Rocks!!!

I have the same problem shown in the video.
Tried on two different routers with WPA/WPA2-PSK.

When I change router wireless security to WEP it connects all right!
How can we resolve this?

My phone:
Android: 2.3.7
Baseband: 13.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10
CyanogenMod: 7.2.0 (stable)

I have the same problem as described by wilek,
Does it work again finally ?

I installed CM7.2 on August 24th and the WIFI stopped working on the 31th
the Wifi turns on then scan and disconnect by itself before it can find any networks
and the phone become very unresponsive as long as Wifi is on.

It looks there are a few people with this problem for exemple in this post

I have been able to make my WIFI work again by downgrading Clorckwork recovery then flash the radio.
Flashing CWM is not easy when you don't have WIFI, but I got some help from XDA and it worked
