We don't know. There are 3 builds on xda for CM9 and I know that at least two of them have the ambition to eventually submit the code to CM. But they have to get their device trees to the point where they want them and then submit the code to CM for inclusion into the official codebase. And depending on the state of the code, CM may reject it and tell them they need to fix certain things.
Bottom line, you will never hear of when to expect something official from CM. Anything you hear will only be guesses by users.
