Hello I installed the rom "cm-9-20120609-nightly-galaxysmtd" two days ago and made various installations on my phone, but today while installing the game "Death Rally", came the message:
Not enough disk space.
But I'm free:
1.5 Gb in physical memory
3 Gb in internal SD
4 Gb SD in external.
Why is giving this message?
thank you

It is due to the way Samsung set up the phone partitions. Check out the following link.

I'm having this problem as well!
But what a mess, how can I tell how much actual space has been used up if I can't use the info on my phone?
I install and try out apps almost daily so this is a huge issue for me.
If I've understood things correctly, there is internal memory 170mb and 2gb. Then there's the Internal SD 6gb?
Gonna try the fix, but unless I can monitor the size of this 170mb partition, won't it just fill up again?

Well, this is because of the way Samsung designed their phones; although, I am not sure if they have something internal to prevent the 170MB from filling up.
But what the script does is move databases and settings back to the 170MB and everything else that resides in the apps data would stay on the internal 2GB (this would only happen when you run it... no future apps would be stored this way unless you run it again). Technically, yes, it could still theoretically fill up, but it isn't nearly as likely. You can monitor the amount of space on there with an app that can monitor partitions. I know Titanium Backup can do this.
But if you'd rather, you could essentially just prevent that 170MB directory from even being used by just running the first step in the link below (there are a few sub-steps, but the script really only does two major things).
