Yesterday I started having an issue where when I receive or make a call there's no audio on either end. When i'm in WiFi call mode(built into the phone) it works fine. All other sound works fine, I can play music, when i press the buttons to make a call i get sound, just not during the call. even if i put it on speaker phone, i get nothing.

i've tried all the recent builds/nightlies/rc's.

has anyone else had this happen? i've wiped and reloaded, no such luck.

thanks.

I seem to be having this issue as well with the 6/3 and 6/10 nightlies as well as the 7.2 stable that came out today.  The last version that worked for me was the 5/20 nightly.  I don't see that one listed on the CM Download page.  I do have a copy of it around still if anybody really wanted it.  You could always try rc2 or rc3 since those were released right around the same time as that last nightly that worked for me.  Mine's a G2X on tmo.

Unfortunatelly this keeps happening to me too from 7.2 RC3 and continues to 7.2 Stable.

Has anyone tried the 6/17 nightly yet?  I might give it a go if I have time tonight.

My situation is very similar whereas I have no in call sound UNLESS I have my bluetooth headset attached in which case it works fine.  Any of you experiencing this problem try attaching a bluetooth headset?  I also tried the 6/17 build but no luck.

Same problem.  Nothing to add to the previous comments, but I was wondering if anyone has logged this as a bug?

Still haven't tried that 6/17 yet, that new Civ5 expansion got in the way.

I saw some other info indicating this might be a baseband issue, with the newer builds being built for the newer baseband.  I'm still on the original baseband that came with the phone on tmo's release day, the March 2011 version.  I suppose over the weekend I'll be reflashing back to a stock rom just to get the baseband updated, then reinstalling cyanogen.  I'll let everyone know how it goes.

I went through reflashing a stock rom so I could run the lg updater get the baseband up to date, and totally wiped everything before flashing the stock rom and after putting cyanogen back on.  The 6/17 nightly is working fine for me now.  Looks like this is an issue with the older baseband.

*edit* Figures a new nightly came out.  The 6/24 is working fine as well.

I tried exactly the same thing but, without success
Even the 06/24 nightly won't work
My baseband is updated to M6600A-SCAUTNZ-2.0.9720T 1 [OCT 24 2011 10:00:00]

This has been accepted as a bug for this particular phone

I think it needs the March 2012 baseband, that's what mine upgraded to when i ran the lg updater and got it working for me.  Seems like other people on the forum are reporting the same issue.  This seems to be a big problem for non tmobile users, since it appears only tmo has that baseband available.  I'm not sure what would happen if you used the lg updater and manually specified tmo as your provider, it could really hose things up.

My issue is wiht bluetooth only. All call sound other than bluetooth in call sound works great (media, speaker phone, etc).  When on bluetooth all I get is crackle/faint sound.  I am neew to the rooting/custom rom process.  Have tried my best to figure this issue out.  I have g2x on tmo.  When restored to original backup all works.  I have tried 2 different headsets, with same result.  I have tried several different roms, with reflashes and always have wiped data/cache/dalvik (even used nullifier) but all to no avail.  Seeing as I am a noob and the I/my phone are the only common denominator.  I must be missing something right?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey...
Many people are having this same issue. It seems to have to do with the baseband update. I believe the developers will need to update the bluetooth some how to be compatible with this change. It's probably pretty complicated, I have no idea... I just hope they are working on it! I just wanted you to know you aren't alone with this problem. Other than the bluetooth phone call thing, I really like this update!

I am experiencing this problem as well. Using 7.2.0 with the March 2011 baseband.

It seems I need to update the baseband, which sounds easy enough - do I need to go to stock before? Some people have posted on XDA that it worked with just using the updater application, without returning to stock, without wiping etc. Is doing it that way a bad idea? What parts of the phone does the LG updater need access to?

Also, once the baseband is updated, would I be able to restore my current mod image (restore a backup, assuming I wipe) or should I start off from scratch with a fresh install and re-download all my apps, etc.?

With this option, you may not need to update your baseband

I am running CM7 20120701 Nightly on Oct 24 2011 baseband.
EVERYTHING on the phone is stable and working perfectly.

Simple steps to get there were
If you do not flash "for_old_bb.zip" then you need to update your BB to Mar 2012 ans it is a pain in the a$$

Ran CWM, boot to recovery
Flashed CM nightly 20120701
Clear CACHE only
Immediately flashed "for_old_bb.zip"
Reboot

see this thread for "for_old_bb.zip"

This option will only allow you to use the old BB on the 7.2 right? The problem I have is my current BB isn't any good. From what I read, the update improves the radio and GPS signal, although I also read that a "dirty flash" is needed afterwards.
At the moment am using the Jun 5 2011 BB, and it has been giving off nothing but problems. To me updating the BB is the solution.

Am looking around as to how to flash the the BB and it really is a pain. One option is to go back to the stock OS and have LG Phone Tools do the work. The problem with that is my phone never responded well with phone tools (before i even rooted the phone) and to go back seems pointless.

The other option is to use KDZ Updater, but even after reading the post am not sure about the files they have provided are the right ones or which one i need.

Has there been any recent post as to how to update the new March BB? The ones I read are from 2011 and am sure the method works it's just the files they provide concerns me.

Dzombie, I was hesitent to update my BB furthur than it is now on the off chance it no longer function with Videotron.

Here is a suggestion for you
  • download http://www.mediafire...5vsodk99a6k6y8y (Stock Videotron Froyo ROM)
  • NANDROID backup your phone
  • Flash your phone with stock Videotron ROM
  • Use the LG uptate tool (It will think you phone is a P999 from Videotron and update it to Froyo 2.2.2 and a baseband of Oct 24 2011
  • Root your phone with Superoneclick and install CMW
  • Once done flash the nightly CM7.2 or restore your backup.
  • Flash "for_old_bb.zip" fron post #13 of this post
  • Reboot and voila
This is almost exactly what I did and I have a CM7 on Oct 24 2011 BB and the phone is rock solid

Let me know if this helped
