****. I did import system settings using mybackup... Is there any way to reset them all without having to flash the phone again?
Also I'm trying to install S2E right now (forgot about that) but it keeps saying I have insufficient storage available even though I have 13MB.
Edit: You know what I think I might just reflash it. Now that I think about it, most of my time was spent trying to restore apps which I realized was futile until I get S2E working so I might as well to avoid further issues.
Edit2: Okay I reflashed it but now I can't download anything from the market. I keep getting "[App] could not be downloaded due to an error". I'm trying whatever I can come up with but this is infuriating now. Is this maybe because the market hasn't updated to Google Play? It did last time...
Also Google Talk keeps failing to authorize. I don't even want it to but it keeps doing it and it's getting on my nerves...
Edit3: Okay nevermind. As I suspected, the market needed to update to Google Play. It did eventually on it's own accord and I'm able to install apps now.
I seem to have everything up and running now, so looks like it's all good. S2E works as well, albeit my phone is being a little slow at the moment but I'll give it a restart later when I finish updating apps and hopefully that'll do. Google talk also shut up, incidentally.
Edit4: Okay I think I spoke too soon... I was restoring two of my last apps, a couple of large games. They restored, but then when I went to the app browser and scroll to the "Uncatalogued" category to see if theyre there, the launcher froze and crashed. It then proceeded to go into this vicious loop of crashing and resetting, going between black screen and an empty home screen, just back and forth. Meantime, random google apps (especially facebook and google services framework) keep repeatedly crashing with the error box coming up.
I force rebooted the phone by taking out the battery (my power button sorta kinda works for now without the cover on) and after taking like 5 minutes to load, it loads back into this same vicious loop.
I honestly don't know how the hell this even happened and why it's not working after a restart. Everything was working perfectly up til then and it's like I essentially just bricked my phone. I really don't want to flash it again, and I would have to do this through my PC using a terminal I assume which is even worse... I've already spent 2 days on this with two flashes, come on, what the hell. Is there anything I can do?
Edit5: Alright, once again nevermind. I was able to handle it. My sister has an android phone as well so I used hers to copy the ROM back onto my SD card, then I booted into the bootloader (my power button, thankfully, still manages to work without the battery cover as it allows me to press down on it harder, don't know how long this will last though). Then went back to recovery and did my thing, I'm back to restoring everything now.
Should be much faster this time around as I know what I'm doing - got S2E there first, so everything should smoothly go to the SD card now, and force updated the market to Google Play right away as well. Third time's a charm, eh? I'll edit this post again once (if) everything is good to go.
Edit6: Finally. Everything is restored. And working. Holy crap that took a while, I spent the whole doing this and suffice to say I'm exhausted. Making a full backup with MyBackup as well as a ROM backup with ROM Manager now. Phew.
Thanks for all the help. Phone's better than ever now! CyanogenMod is a wonderful piece of software.
