I updated my phone from stock 2.1 to CM7 stable and nightly, successfully updated the firmware however upon first boot up I am getting sim lock. Needed to put some special lock codes to open it.

Question is: is it still lock to T-mobile after installing this custom firmware? Any help to resolved the sim lock or carrier lock I am having?

Thank you.

zoyti, I am a newbie to this but sound like your settings may have been changed.  Might look at settings , available networks and see if it is set to automatically select or tmobile. You might have to call Tmob and get an unlock (puk) code.  I did that once when I was locked out for another reason and they emailed a code that I used to unlock it again.

He's asking if he's restricted to use T-Mobile after he flashes CyanogenMod. Unfortunately, I don't know the answer.
