I'm planning to replace my Evo 4G with an Evo 4G LTE, but not until a Cyanopgenmod comes out for it. I haven't seen anything on the blog, nor did I see any posts when I searched the forum on the LTE. Is there any timeline for an Evo LTE mod release?

Have any developers announced plans to work on it is the real question. I'm sure someone will have a kang eventually (preludedrew already has some alpha builds, but I dont know how good they are), but its not always the same, especially on such a high end phone.
I'm also using cyanogenmod support as my deciding factor between the evo 4g LTE and a galaxy s 3, but still havent heard anything about plans for either.

Great! that answers my questions. I'm itching to replace my 4G which is quickly approaching the end of its life. I got it right when they came out, so it's showing its age. I love my Cyanogenmod experience, so I'm looking forward to continuing to use it.

They have ALPHA unofficial builds on XDA! I make videos of this device, and trust me, I'll have a video when something decent comes out!

Deck has a pretty functional port out, which is based off of cm9. U can find it from within the goo manager app under "all compatible roms". (If ur on the new evo, otherwise just use the search function in the app) ..of the 3 deck builds that goo mgr has listed, the top one of the 3 is the one u want. The one with the words "text" and the other with the word "data" in the file names either don't work or are pre-alpha builds (ie: broken). You can find newer build of decks cm9 jewel port on the "unofficial cm9 port" thread @ xda.

Happy hunting.

I registered on this forum just to bump this thread up and subscribe to it. Cyanogenmod made me fall in love with my OG EVO all over again. It was going to be my go-to rom for my new LTE. But alas, months after the release, I'm still cyanoless. Deck's little portover is still full of little bugs that, honestly, give cyanogen a bad rep. The biggest capper being that the WiFi tether doesn't work. That's a deal breaker for me.
Come on guys! Please push out some support for the LTE! Especially since the 3D has now been officially discontinued!

Now that source has dropped, I can't imagine we won't soon have some cm 9 or 10 nightlies for our beloved jewel. Its not even been 1 week since HTC published our source code, so don't think anyone is dragging their feet... The cm team doesn't add source-less devices to the list, as their builds are compiled from source, not manually.
As for your other comments, you might want to ease up. The development community has many talented contributors, and all of them have love for cyanogenmod... Point is, out of all of them, only deck is working on a (pre-source) port for our device, so it's no small task. Everyone is enthusiastically awaiting CM, but you should show a little respect.
