Since 2 days now i'm running CM9 (nightly) on my SGS i9000. (CM9 Nightly 20120603 with stock kernel)
Everything works fine except the playing of 720p video (tv series and recorded video).
I tried ALL players in google Play in combination witch allmost all kernels with and without this zip (http://forum.xda-dev.....php?t=1575485), but i still can't get it to work. the video runs.. but it stutters like hell.
PS. after flashing this zip, my phone didn't support HW play (decoding) of video anymore (only software). this only made it worse..
For the record; I have this issue with both mkv and mp4 files with 720p res. (720p MKV tv shows and 720p MP4 files recorded by my own SGS i9000)
When I ran GB 2.3.6 custom and stock roms and kernels the same file (720p video) played fine in the stock samsung video player AND all available video players in the Play Store!!!!
Does anyone have an idea how this can be fixed? (i know its not a player issue).
