The NC version # was 1.4.2.  I followed huskermanias direction for NC root from PC.  Pulled CYN Mod 7 / and clock work.  Managed to wipe 2 of the 3 (data threw an error.  Went through with putting 7 on the NC,  I get fc on media process and market.  I can surf the web but beyond that everything else is useless.  Help.  Please.

It is most likely because you didn't wipe the /data partition. Do you remember what the error was? You could also try and perform a Factory Reset/Data Wipe (which includes the /data partition).

It is not wiping the original installation of the mod out.  Should I attempt to use Unooter?

Some error messages would be nice, as I have no idea what is actually going on with your install.

If it's error/formatting data, search xda. You just need to reformat the data to the old nook color partitioning scheme. i had the same problem. You're very lucky that it even booted without wiping the data, because it usually just stays on the boot animation. Once you reformat the partitions, you need to wipe /system, /data, and /cache. Then install the cm7 .zip, and google apps.
