Hey there,

I'm having some rather odd clock issues with my phone. The time is "right" but not really. I use LauncherPro and WidgetLocker. I've never had any issues with these. However, WidgetLocker has its own clock widget. It works fine half the time. The other half of the time it is one hour behind my phone time. But that's not always right either.

For example, it's 9:30PM. The widget time will say 8:30PM. A few minutes pass, and the widget time is at least an hour behind sometimes a few minutes. The system bar shows 9:30PM as well, but then once I open the keyboard or rotate the phone, it will update to the current time, let's just say something like 9:37PM.

Both the apps listed are up to date, and I'm running CM 7.2.0 RC1.
Phone is rooted, I removed a few included APKs when I flashed the ROM. Is there a certain preinstalled APK that might have been affected by my removing it that updates the time, or does anyone know a fix?

Thanks! :)

Sounds like something is definitely messed up on your phone. I would try to update to RC2 but before you do, format the /system partition through recovery. Then install RC2 and gapps. Hopefully this will resolve your issue. If not, we will have to dig a bit more into it.

I didn't even know there was an RC2 :)

I always format /system, as well as cache/data/dalvik/battery. Either way, I'll try a clean install to RC2 and let you know if I notice any changes!

Just an FYI, if you perform a Factory Reset/Data Wipe, it will format data, cache, dalvik cache, and the .android_secure folder on the sdcard. I figure it is easier to just do one thing rather than all of them separately (although, you would still need to do the battery stats, although, I have never done this).

So I did the clean update. Still having the issue, it was fine from when I did it this morning, but it's started acting up again

It's 6:34 PM according to my PC.
WidgetLocker's clock is saying 5:34.
Meanwhile the status bar is stuck at 6:32, and then when I rotate the phone or open the keyboard, voila! It's 6:35.

I'm lost on this one. I want to blame an app except it was totally fine until I installed the apps I use from Google, and then Facebook/Twitter. The 4 non-stock apps I installed right after flashing weren't causing any issues. :(
