I have call waiting enabled.  On the original HTC firmware I got bundled with the phone, this meant that when another call was coming through I heard a double-beep twice in the background, and then it stopped.  Now that I have CyanogenMod, I'm getting that double beep continuing for the entire 20 seconds that the call is waiting, if I don't answer it.  How can I restore it so that I just get the double-beep twice and then it stops when a new call is coming through?

Doesn't anyone know how to deal with this?  This community isn't as active as I'd hoped.

Well, this community is more of a support forum for people having problems. Developers don't come in here very often (or if they do, they don't post). And I am not sure this is something that will see much traction anyway. Almost all devices I have had (dating back to my first cell phone in 2001) will double-beep every few seconds for the duration of the call, and I have never seen a phone with an option to change it. I like it because then it allows me to distinguish between a call or a text (as the text doesn't repeat). Also, if you take the phone away from your ear, you can decline the other call, or if you don't want call waiting at all, you can just disable it.

That being said, you can post it in the "bug" reports section as a feature request (the bug tracker doubles as both).
