Hi Team,

First time poster - I am from New Zealand, and have owned the LG Optimus 2X for about a year, and recently modded it using CWM.

Things are running ALOT faster, the clock speeds the same 1ghz.

I have 1 teething issue - The Youtube app doesnt play the videos all the time. I have to skip between high quality and non high quality tickbox under settings, and it will sometimes play, sometimestake a LONG time to play, and sometimes it wont play at all. The SAME video sometimes will play, or sometimes will take long time, or sometimes wont play at all.

Has anyone experienced this issue? Over on XDA, I read up and aparently its an issue with CM7. I'm running 7.1.0-RC1-Optimux2X.

Baseband Version 1035.21_20110405

Kernel Version - 2.6.32.41 - cyanogenmod rmcc@giskard #1

Over on XDA, they reckon it works with an older version of Youtube, but i have no idea how to get it?

Could you guru's please help?

Is there another version of CM7 I can use??

Thanks!!

Exactly same problem here. Had the problem as long I've been using 7.1.0 Stable (my first CM install). Activating DMZ (demilitarized zone) in my router to phone's ip address helped but didn't solved the issue to 100%. Still experiencing videos that never starts all the time.

For me this wasn't just a problem with Youtube, but with Vimeo and Adobe Flash Player too.
This problem has also been discussed here:http://forum.cyanoge...yt-doesnt-work/ and here: http://forum.cyanoge...-youtube-video/
As you can read no fix could be found but the problem doesn't seem to exist in 7.2.0. I have been running on 7.2.0 for a month or so now with no major problems. I would recommend that you flash to 7.2.0.

Well its been a long time!

I had been waiting for ICS, but I think I'll just update it with 7.2 as above. Do I need to update my Baseband too?

What about a kernel? I want to run a higher clock speed - Currently sitting  @ Stock 1ghz in both cores.

So I put 7.2, and my Youtube is okay, WOOHOO!! :D

Now - I downloaded SetCPU from - http://forum.xda-dev...505419&page=268 - The latest vers 2.24 i think, but it doesnt let me change the max frequencies..

Max I can go up to 1000..grr.. what am I doing wrong here? Do I need to change the kernel to clock higher??

Thanks!

Update - I flashed a new Kernel - http://forum.xda-dev...059910&page=274

Running @ 1.2xx Ghz now. haha!

Boot up time is now 32seconds, before Kernel it was around 38-42secs with the stock CM7.2 Kernel 2.6.xx.55.

Pretty happy with the phone now, as its super quick, and the battery seems to last ages, thanks to SetCPU!!!

Whos good at Undervolting? Any tips on how much I should Undervolt by??

Actually..there seems to be a YouTube issue.
When an ad displays..it freezes YouTube and I have to close it. Then playing a video is a mission.

I have to either clear the data and cache or uninstall it and re install it.

Happens every time an ad wants to play..but the ad doesn't play..it freezes.. .help??

I'm hoping the next update will fix this, but the format of my SD-cards dit fix some problems regarding this issue. It crashes far less often.

Hmm, thanks!

I havent had this happen for a while, for some reason. I let one of those ad's play, and havent had it happen since. Mind you, it did take a while for it to play, for some reason it was stuck, then became unstuck and played, and I skipped it, and its been okay so far *touch wood*

I hear ICS is avail for this now, or coming out :D

I have the same problem with you tube running on 7101; I flashed 7.2 it fixed you tube and generally ran much better.  I ran into a problem with the phone calling on 7.2. When calling someone or visaversa no volume at all. I was told my phone is bricked. Can anyone help me out??

Try flashing your ROM again? Clear your dalvik cache. Seeing you posted this a while ago, trust you have this sorted? If not, report back buddy!
