Did you try and reselect the ringtone or select a different one? Does the ringtone play when you select it?

Yes, I tried to change the ringtone to an system default, like CyanAlarm, etc. Tried to use the old back. Tried to reboot the phone too. And some days ago I updated the CM9 version too. Nothing fix it.
Yes, the ringtones are playing when I open the settings.
I don't have sure, but I navigated to the folder where those ringtones where placed, my hope was to change the CyanAlarm as default. But I saw I didn't have permission, so I quit without changing nothing. I dont have sure, but I think the problem start after that. But as I already say, I don't have sure if the problem was exaclty after that or it's just coincidence

Already tested with default ringtones, custom mp3 and other ringtones from the phone. Tonight I will try to update the cm9 and teste everything again.
Is it possible to have an "log" when I get an call? That way maybe we can see what happen to phone don't ring.

Well, I just "fixed" it.
I updated the CM9 to last version (16052012) - and the problem persist.
So I removed the option of "Use volume keys" in Volume Setting, because I remeber to change that. Also changed the Volume Panel Setting to "Simples", I changed that too before.
Well, the problem persist.
Then I change the "Ringonte" and "Notification Sound" for the profile, in CM Profiles option. Nothing happened too.
The last things I can make with sound was the colume of ringtone and notification in each profile. I changed all to 0/7 at work and 7/7 at home. I desactivated this setting in the main profile, selected my second profile and then back to the main. Guess what, it's work!
My first thought was the problem was with that setting, but I had to prove it. Back to enable that option, but use 5/7, just to test. It's works also. Then, I back everything just like was before, 0/7 for work profile, 7/7 for home profile, enabled expansive volume panel and enabled the volume keys to change songs, just like was before, no changes...
...and now it's working just fine.
I don't have sure what happened, but as I can see was a bug on the "adjust volume settings" of each profile, something mess everything and I had to remove that option, test all profiles and then put it back. So, if anyone had the same problem, can make that
Sorry for bother you, but that problem almost make me back to stock. By the way, it's possible to change the default alarm from CyanAlarm to any other?

You can save any audio files you would like to an alarms folder on your sdcard. Same goes for notifications and ringtones. If you want to use more than one of these folders, you can limit dirtying up the root of your sdcard by putting them all in a media folder.
And yes, those profiles are pretty powerful in what they can control.

Hmm, but my problem is only with CyanAlarm. I'm using one app to alert about coming TV shows, but I can change the alarm sound and it get the default one "CyanAlarm" and I can say that is a bit embarassing that alarm in public, haha

I am not using CM9 (no official builds available for either of my phones), so I am not sure exactly how this is set up. But pretty much all apps give you the ability to change your notification tones. Have you tried from within the app?

Already tried, no solution, hehe. Send an email to developer, waiting for response.

Did the developer ever get back to you on this, or has anyone running the latest nightly builds run into this problem? I had this same problem and it's the only reason I haven't been running CM9 for the last few months.

Didn't made anything. At least now I understand why got that problem, was with profiles and the change of media vol. This the only bug I got by now.
