After I finally installed cyanogen (after some issues, sigh) I was really happy, but then right after asking for pin to my simcard I was asked for SIM unlock code for network (something like that)... Do I have to get rid of SIMLock in order to use phone with cyanogen? Why I can use my phone with stock software without problems then? Or maybe I'm missing something and issue is somewhere else?

My phone was bought as "not locked", with stock firmware it doesn't nag me. Looks like bug in CM, just click on "Dismiss" - if your phone is really not locked, it should work fine.

Well I checked my phone today and it isn't simlocked. Still, even when I click dismiss I can't make phonecalls / send sms when using cyanogen...

I'll just add that problem showed up on release candidate. 'Stable' ( is it really stable? :/ ) version that can be downloaded from sticky topic on this forum didn't worked at all - phone was reloading cyanogen 1-2 seconds after 'click on android', getting me back to that screen all the time.

I experienced the same problem, stuck at boot animation over and over again witth the "stable" version.
If you want to try the stable 7.1.0.2 version: for me it worked to delete the AntHalService.apk file from the zip file in the /system/app folder, then install as usual.
It is not included in 7.1.0.1 either, so i guess it is not an important file. I am back to Stock though, because i have terrible battery drain with Cyanogen.
Good luck

When I got a new SIM card, it came with a lock code. I was able to input that and then prevent the phone from asking for it again. You may need to do something similar.

I installed 7.1.0.1 and its working, it asked me for that code but this time after clicking "Dismiss" phone was working (I was able to make calls). Strange thing that it wasn't working before when I was doing that (it was on recent release candidate not stable version though)...
