Hi!
First of all, sorry for my bad english.
I have a smartphone HTC Aria, soft is CM 7-11162011 night.
There is a problem with my GPS-applications. They can't get coordinates till I switch off and switch on the checkbox "wireless network (get coordinates through Wi-Fi)". Sorry, I don't know its correct english name. Sometimes it is nessesary to reboot phone. Phone can "see" satellites (for example, "navitel" application), but it doesn't get coordinates even through 10-15 minutes.
It is necessary to use my smartphone as navigator.
How can I solve this problem? Can the next stable release solve it?

Hi Alexxkr,
I have had similar experiences with 7.1 RC on my Aria. What I found as a workaround is to bring up Google Navigation and choose a destination. That seems to reliably start GPS services and yields a lock onto location. The coordinates will then show up in other apps. I also use "GPS Status" and "GPS Test" (available inMarket Play ). GPS Test has a button on its default screen that jumps straight to Location and Security Settings. I haven't tried toggling "use wi-fi" to get GPS to work. ON rare occasions, the only solution has been to reboot.
I am wondering whether GPS system policies designed to conserve power are breaking the functionality for some apps, particularly those not coming from Google.

Thank you, It is working.
I don't think It is problem of Google policies. As for me, It looks like software bug. I hope next release of CM will solve this issue.
