I've got some music and pictures loaded on a sd card (FAT file system) and it is mounted as /mnt/emmc but these don't get loaded in gallery and music app.
I've also tried alternative muisc app Songbird but it doesn't see the music in the sdcard neither.
It sometimes does load it if I reboot the phone, but it loses it after a while. I can still browse to the files directly using a file manager and open them there but cannot get media player to play the files sequentially, like playing all songs from an album.
Help!!

I have the same problem with my G2x on CM7.2 stable.
This may or may not work, but go to settings, applications, running services, and then hit the all apps tab. click on gallery and click erase data. (This WILL NOT erase your music, just the settings on the app) and do the same for the music player.
