I just updated to the latest version of CM7 and today I noticed that my phone keeps turning on WiFi by itself.  I can turn it off and I can wait 10 seconds and watch it turn itself back on.  Any suggestions on a fix for this?

I just rolled back from CM9 and none of my Nandroid backups worked anymore.

So I ended up having to do a full re-install including a Factory Reset.

I reinstalled my important data with Titanium Backup, but now my WiFi keeps turning on.  I've never seen this before.

It does it more like every 5 or 10 minutes.

Droid 2 CM7. 7.2.0 (I think...)

Any ideas?

On (maybe) a related note, I didn't have to restore my WiFi hotspots this time. They were still present.

Thanks,

-KP

I thought I fixed it with FXR WiFi resetter, but it still turns on by itself.  I did, after resetting WiFi, restore my hotspots with Titanium.

So, I used Startup Manager to turn off a bunch of stuff I sure wish didn't think it needed to start at every re-boot.  That didn't seem to do it either...

Anybody got anything?  There must be some hidden/unknown (by me...) setting that lets WiFi turn on.  I've sure never heard/seen this until this reinstall.

As a follow up, I think it was FXR that fixed the problem (apparently).

I think I forgot that you really do need to reboot after running 'repair'.

After I rebooted later, because whatever game my daughter had been playing mucked things up, I haven't seen WiFi turn on without me asking it to since.
