I installed CM 7.1 on my Evo Shift a few weeks ago and I'm absolutely in love with it! The only issue I've had with it has been the dialer app. The sensitivity of the proximity sensor on the front of the phone is set in such a way that if I even slightly move the phone while I am talking on it, my face ends up pressing buttons. I've dialed digits, muted, speakerphoned, and even hung up on my wife and friends. This is annoying enough, but it also means that I really can't use my phone to take conference calls at work now.
Does anyone know of an alternative dialer app that may work better for me? Or is there a way to set a delay on the proximity sensor so that it keeps the touch screen disabled for a second or two after it detects that the phone is no longer being held up to my face? This is literally the only major annoyance that I've had with CM 7.1. Other than this, I love it to pieces!

Bump...
Exact same problem. If I find a solution, I will post a link here.
HTC EVO Shift w/ CM 7.1
---Update---
Menu -> Settings -> Call Settings -> Always Use Proximity=ON
(So far this seems to be helping)
