Yes. I have a 2012 BMW and I can stream & display artist/track/album info. Also Message Access Profile works now, so I can read/listen to text messages on the car's display or speakers. It's sweet.

I've found the reason for the problem I was having and felt it should be shared since it is not obvious. I was using profiles (in Settings -> Profiles) to manage my power and radio overrides. Looking a bit more into profiles, it also has overrides for apps, notifications, and which notification is used. What I did was turn all these notification overrides to no override and now my per app settings are not modified when I switch profiles.
The issue of how to get this knowledge to people is still a concern as until I digged into this, I had no idea why my default notification setting was being used for all notifications.

Also, activating any tether options causes "settings" to crash. Anyone else having that problem?
Running 20120502 nightly.

Also, what is the difference between the merge change log and the alternate change log? Are alternates those created by cm and merged just those taken from aosp?
And on the alternate change log, at the top it says to be included in the next nightly, yet the most up to date nightly on there is not the most up to date nightly, what does this mean?
What is the meaning of the tuna changes being stated under the toro nightlies on the changelog? Do they apply to the toro device as well?
Thanks, I'm new to CM, but have experience in Linux, so I know some stuff, just not that much about android or how it is represented here.
By the way, having tried many roms, I am loving CM, and it is nice to know that I am using a rom the creates a lot of the mods itself and doesn't take that much from others. However, I do feel that CM has quite the undertaking in supporting sooo many devices. It makes me weary as to how much attention is being paid to each individual one. I'm sure somebody knows better than me about this, but I'm guessing each device has its own devs under cm as well as cm has some base devs to work on the core.

tuna is the common branch between the galaxy nexus cdma and gsm. they are some of the shared files.

I'm by no means an expert, but I'll try to answer what I can.
CM9 is built off of the AOSP project, which at this time is at 4.0.4. Occasionally, the latest branch of code will be merged into the CM project, but that doesn't necessarily happen day of release (so when, say, IMM90Z shows up in AOSP, it might not be in CM for a while)
jjoonn answered your questions about the changelog site accurately, so i'll skip those.
as for your concerns about specific device support, don't worry! you're correct! each device has a maintainer who's focus is specifically on the individual devices. Some folks might maintain a handful of devices, but the idea is that each device gets a person to kind of make sure things will work.

So changing the color of the on screen navigation button is by theme only I guess?

They are on http://r.cyanogenmod.com for review if you want to track their status or add them to your own build.
Or just be patient for things to get ironed out

Additional info: I've confirmed this on 2 different systems. Windows 7 64bit and Arch linux 64-bit. So this makes me think maybe that mtp index file isn't updating or something.
