Hello friends,
I own a Motorola Quench XT502 and it's been almost 6 months since I have been using this Boston ROM. My friend updated my phone from eclairs to Froyo. Now I want to upgrade to gingerbread but I am unable to root my phone again. None of the usual applications are working like Z4root or UniversalAndroot. Please help me guys ! I, very badly, want to update the OS ! Any and all kind of suggestions are welcome !

Thanks for replying ! Actually, after posting this, I tried a bit more vigorously and was successfully able to root my phone. Then I followed the NOOB Guide to install the latest stable cyanogenmod (update-cm-7.1.0-Z71-signed.zip). I flashed the clockworkmod recovery (2.5.1.0) as the guide said. Then I rebooted into recovery mode through ROM manager. There I wiped off all the data, user data, cache and dalvit cache. Then I selected install ROM from sdcard. So, I browsed the .zip in my sdcard and installed it. When it said 'installation complete', I selected 'reboot'. Now this is where the problem arises ! The phone is not actually starting up ! I see a 'welcome' sign for a minute or so and then I see the cyanogenmod 7 logo with a cyan colored android dude on a skateboard zipping across my screen, sometimes once and sometimes twice. Then there's just a lightly illuminated black blank screen. Please help me to figure out what went wrong !

Well it's all sorted out now ! I have cyanogenmod 7 up 'n' runnin on my XT502.. I couldn't get it to run when installing through recovery, but then I searched for .nbo version and installed it through SUT LR. The process didn't complete, gave me an error, but when I rebooted my phone, there it was ! The cyanogenmod 7 !
