Can users of CM9 alpha 2 say if wifi, wifi, wifi....  is fixed for good or no different than before.  This function is so important to fix it for good because it affects most of us when CM9 is installed and touchpad is used every day in different locations.

I believe the Wifi function to work well is very important for all of us because we use our touchpad everyday and most of time at different locations.
Can users of CM9 Alpha 2 tell us if wifi behaves similar(flacky) or have much imporved and don't have to change or try various router configuration to make it work ? This function is a basic important one that effects most of the users of CM9 on touchpad.

use windows machine.. it's much easier

and you are putting your touchpad into the recovery mode right? (or whatever it's called, it will show HUGH USB symbol on the screen)

Yes I did....weird thing is that I've installed cm7 with my Mac before and worked like a charm but now it doesnt seem to wanna work anymore and I don't have a pc

Thanks for the alpha 2 update. I was happy with .6 but this is almost perfect. I did go and donate, but it was before I registered so not showing as such. Not sure why so many people have wi-fi problems - I have not had any issues from the first alpha. Now Netflix works and I can get You Tube HD video to play. My only real problem is that the Gallery does not work, but that is a known issue. Anybody got any advice on an app that would be good to use in place of that? HBO Go does not work but after researching it they only support android phones right now - no tablets. Probably no ICS at all. Again, thanks very much. I was considering getting an Ipad3, but now I'd just feel dumb getting one. Just a waste of money.....

I've been using this since right after it was released - upgraded from 0.6. Everything works well thus far (better than 0.6) except issues noted so far. Wifi has been pretty good thus far as well. Also has a habit of booting, running for a little while, and then rebooting. This will happen for a while, and then it'll settle down and run without problems until I manually reboot.

I had to reflash gapps and the gapps fixer. My guess is that most people will have to do that.

Wow, just installed CM9 Alpha 2 from CM7 3.5. I was waiting for NetFlix support. Used ACMEInstaller2 and didn't lost anything. Holy crap it's great. Interface is so much nicer than CM7 and everything is quite slick. Thanks for all the work guys!

I have not had any issue with Gallery, however I have read that reinstalling the recommended gapps (I believe it is gapps-ics-10230215-signed.zip) is a possible solution.

Installed CM9 A2 over CM7 3.5 using ACMEInstaller2. Also installed gapps-ics-20120215-signed.zip. Wifi working great - and Netflix working like a champ.

Anyone having issues installing cm9? I keep getting "cannot connect to server" when running novacom boot mem:// < ACMEInstaller2 on MacBook pro OS X 10.7.3...any help would be great I've been trying for HOURS and no answers...and yes I've googled like crazy and nothing comes up for Mac

did you get Alpha 2 installed?
For what it's worth, I downloaded directly to the Touchpad and used the Clockmod to install the update (no computer involved).

can anyone help me with installing this on my Touchpad using a Mac? I can follow the instructions until it gets to the command prompt bit, I'd really appreciate a step by step guide installing this mod using Mac OSX, thanks!

WOW...the HD video is quite the upgrade!
All has been working quite well. I do however seem to have lost the capability of REBOOTING? System still shuts down hitting reboot option?
This happening to anyone else...i did upgrade to A1 and thought it was fixed, but on A2 its back...not really an issue, but still wanted to point this out.

Also, not too sure why all the fuss with WiFi, as its been stated quite a few times, its probably the router giving you an issue. Check out your settings; better do a full reset. One thing I’ve learned is if you unplug your router, let sit for about 2 minutes, plug back it can actually fixes many problems. HTH

Kudos to the cyanogen team and all developers for taking the time to keep the HPTP rocking and rolling. Much obliged! :D

Updated right over CM 7 with no issue.  Used Clockworkmod to reflash gapps.  Works like a charm!  No Netflix issues at all.  YouTubeHD flawless.  Has rebooted once by itself but not since yesterday.  Lost 5% power overnight which is on par with CM7.  When Winamp loaded into the memory I kept getting a "for some reason Winamp needs to close" message (I wasn't trying to open it).  After using it a few times it has seemed to stop.  The more I use the pad the more it settles down.  Who cares if the crap camera doesn't work; it I want to Skype someone I just reboot into WebOS.  If you are on the edge about upgrading do it, Everything about it just blows away CM 7.  I am a noob and have no problem following directions; if I can do it you can too!  CM team keep up the fabulous work, it is much appreciated by me and others.  Soon as cash hits PayPal donation will be coming!!!

Vibration only works for me shortly after the reboot, and then it stops. I think it didn't work at all on .6. Just to let you know! Thanks for this wonderful update! I'm sorry I'm not able to donate more but I plan to do that more often :)
