I have a screen that has blue writing on it. the options are
"apply update from sdcard" and "install zip from sdcard"
I put the Recovery image onto the sdcard, but not in a folder.

The recovery.img should go on your PC in the platform-tools folder (or where ever you have fastboot.exe)
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

From the description sounds like you have a custom recovery.  Are you using ClockworkMod recovery?


Choose the "install zip from sd card">"choose zip from sd card" and look for the CyanogenMod ROM and flash it.

I have checked all the steps above, but cannot find the CyanogenMod ROM to flash it! I have disconnected the phone and the re-connected it, opened the sdcard and the CyanogenRom is not there!

I am also doing the same trying to install cynogenmod on my nexus one. I unlocked the phone and trying to flash the image file. it is giving error maessage 'fastboot ' is not recognized as an internal, operable  or external command, oerabale programme or batchf file. I already downloaded cynogenmod and google appps and coppied to SD ard. help me over come this problem.

fastboot-windows.exe folder and image files  I kept in c:\users\akhil\downloads\android-sdk_r04-windows\android-sdk-windows\tools
